With recent surreal and unjust events taking place across the world and near to home, Los Angeles-based and eclectic modern techno music label Octopus Recordings respond by teaming up with Parisian apparel brand LA CLEANIC to unite humanity. Seeking to use any humble skills, and connections in music and fashion, to begin a collaboration sending profits to a meaningful cause.

The collection features limited edition black hoodies, t-shirts, and face masks. Each piece is printed in French and says “La Justice étouffée sous le poids de la police” which means in English, “Justice choking under the weight of the police” along with the names of all who have lost their life s a result of police brutality. The line is now available today: http://www.octopusrecordings.com/

Alongside the clothing line, LA CLEANIC have created a short film: https://youtu.be/elQp2hwOCGI

About LA CLEANIC:
LA CLEANIC — brought to you with love by Maxwell — is an independent apparel brand with bases in Paris, Toronto, and Minneapolis with an operating studio currently in Los Angeles. The high-end brand was created by two brothers, Cedric and DAvid Maxwell in 2016. What started as a passion project to honor the legacy of their late father, Dr. Maxwell, owner of ‘Clinic Maxwell’ became a challenge to offer design-conscious pieces and innovative experiences. The brand aims at being multidisciplinary and strives to showcase hope and love using the not always so appealing hospital environment through clothing, music, visual experimentation, and rehabilitation conversations. LA CLEANIC released its first capsule and short film “.002” in spring 2019 which sold out. In the past year, LA CLEANIC worked with a variety of influencers and celebrities. The brand worked with Smokepurpp for the release of “Audi 2” and premiered the first look of their highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2020 collection. The brand worked with Makeda, a creative in Kigali, with Eunbi Lee, Miss Korea 2017 on an editorial to showcase more looks from the Fall/Winter 2020 collection and with R&B artist ASTN for the wardrobe of his North American tour with Christian French.

About SIAN:
Founded by SIAN, Octopus Recordings has been releasing classic modern techno for almost a decade. The label has constantly broken all of the rules and remained hyped-up in the charts, radio and press. With releases and remixes from luminaries such as Nichole Moudaber, Gregor Tresher, Jay Lumen, Anna, MArc Houle, DVS1, Victor Ruiz, Pig & Dan, Julian Jeweil, Slam, Gui Boratto, Carlo Lio and Oliver Huntemann, as well as his own, Octopus fearlessly crosses musical lines and nurtures true artistic talent over everything else in the realm of alternative modern techno. Born in Ireland and raised in Spain, SIAN now calls the sprawling, sun-drenched metropolis of Los Angeles his beloved home. His productions and live sets exhibit a unique, focused higher power. Selecting music from his vast catalogue, he warps it beyond belief through unusual hardware and software signal paths. Acidic, energetic, pulsating, and totally adventurous is his approach. His latest release, his artist album X is out now.
